In 1954 the pioneer Albert Stammet, decided to open a garage in the Brussels suburbs dedicated to the Morgan brand, known as Garage Albert, whose products he knew inside out because he had previously worked as the head of the workshop for the brand’s first importer in our country. It is a brand he loved dearly, as evidenced by his unwavering loyalty to the manufacturer in Malvern Link.
This unwavering loyalty, coupled with a commitment to workmanship of the highest quality, was passed down by Albert Stammet to his son Jean, who headed the company from 1982. It was in this unique atmosphere—where family spirit is combined with a sense of duty and a commitment to quality work—that Thomas, Jean’s son, spent his youth and later gained professional experience before taking over the management of Garage Albert in December 2014.
In December 2019, Thomas sold Morgan Belgium to entrepreneur Alexander de Windisch-Graetz, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history. Before entering the automotive industry, Alexander had built a successful entrepreneurial career through the acquisition and development of businesses in the retail sector. Garage Albert, to be renamed Morgan Belgium, represented his first venture into the automotive world, driven by a passion for exceptional craftsmanship, heritage, and timeless design. His vision has been to preserve the unique legacy established by the Stammet family while investing in the future of the brand in Belgium, strengthening its presence and creating a destination where Morgan owners and enthusiasts can share their passion. This commitment was reflected in the relocation of Morgan Belgium to its new home in Sint-Genesius-Rode in 2022, offering a dedicated environment worthy of the brand’s heritage.
Morgan Belgium is the brand’s sole official dealer in Belgium, proudly represented by its new garage—an elegant setting rich in history and character. It has already become a welcoming meeting place for Morgan enthusiasts from all walks of life, offering a peaceful retreat for both owners and their cars.
